Description

Boris's ideal home

Boris is looking for calm and quiet home to relax in and enjoy his golden years with gentle strolls and lots of cuddles on the sofa with a warm blanket. He can live with children aged 12 and over who can play calmly with him when he wants and give him space to relax and rest when he needs. He is a polite little bean who could live with another calm dog who will happily coexist with him and does not expect too much from him. He could live with cats or other small furries. He would be happy with friendly walking buddies. Boris does a nice “sit”, but isn’t super interested in learning new tricks, he was housetrained in his previous home, so will only need a refresher in his new home. Boris settles quite nicely after exploring his surroundings and will happily curl up for a snooze, so could be left for 2-4 hours, this will need to be built up gradually after he has had time to settle into his new home. Boris is on long term medication, adopters will need to bear this in mind when applying. He will need to meet his adopters a few times prior to going home. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

Could you be Boris's perfect match?

The sweetest and most gentle little man, Boris is a 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier who doesn’t ask for more than a little potter around followed by a cosy spot to snooze in. He enjoys a fuss and will happily climb in your lap for snuggles, he will wander off when he is done and curl up for a snooze in his bed. Boris loves soft smelly treats, the softer the better, his favourite is paste, he takes treats gently from the hand. Boris is looking for a relaxing and loving home, could you be his new family?

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
