Chewie's ideal home

Chewie looking for a home with adopters who are willing to adopt his pal, Gizmo too. Chewie can become a little distressed if separated from Gizmo so it is crucial that this lovely pair are rehomed together. The ideal home would be a quiet one, that isn't too busy as Chewie settles better with a quiet routine. They could live with dog savvy children aged 15+ who are calm and confident around dogs. Chewie would love a garden to call his own where he can potter and sniff. The ideal home would have minimal leaving hours, that can be built up slowly overtime. Chewie does have a medical condition which is not currently requiring medication but can be discussed with the Home from Home Team if suitable.

Chewie is a 4.5-year-old Chihuahua x Yorkshire Terrier who came into our care with his best friend, Gizmo. Chewie is the more quiet of the pair, and he loves nothing more than curling up on his foster carers lap for a cuddle. Chewie can be a little unsure of new people initially, but quickly becomes friends especially if food is involved! He enjoys exploring on walks with Gizmo, and they enjoy socialising with other dogs out and about.

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
