Tyson's ideal home

Tyson is looking for a calm and quiet home to relax in and enjoy his golden years, he could live with children aged 12 years and over who will play nicely with him and give him space to rest when he needs. Teddy is worried around dogs so is looking to be the only pet in the home and have no visiting pets. He would prefer low dog populated areas so he can sniff and explore in peace. Tyson knows how to “sit”, and all the home life basics, so could be convinced to do some fun training for a soft, tasty treat. He is fully housetrained but may need a refresher in his new home so access to his own private, secure garden is essential. Tyson can get worried being left alone so he will need adopters who be home most of the time, any leaving time would need to be built up gradually after he has had time to settle into his new home. Tyson is on daily medication and will need to meet his adopters multiple times prior to going home so please bear this in mind when applying. Please note that should you be shortlisted, our rehoming process usually takes up to 7 days, and potential adopters would be required to come up to the centre to meet him within 48hrs of being shortlisted.

A small lad with a big personality, Tyson is a 10 year old Yorkshire Terrier who likes to be your shadow. He loves to play and chase around with squeaky balls, he also like to carry around a soft toy on occasion, and will tidy his toys away into his bed when he is done. Tyson adores a fuss, he will happily jump onto your lap for a cuddle at any opportunity. This wonderful guy is looking for his forever home.

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".
