Description

Dudley's ideal home

Meet Dudley, the irresistibly scruffy terrier crossbreed with a heart full of love! Dudley's endearing appearance matches his charming personality. With a coat that's a delightful tangle of fur, he's sure to capture the hearts of everyone he meets.

Could you be Dudley's perfect match?

Dudley is a clever 4 year old crossbreed who enjoys the company of people he knows and trusts. Dudley has been protective over certain items, so he’ll need to live as the only pet in the home with experienced adult owners who can provide proper guidance and training. Currently, Dudley is undergoing drop and swap training to help him understand that sharing is caring. This specialised training will help him overcome his resource guarding tendencies and develop a more balanced approach to his belongings. Our training team can demonstrate this at the centre. Although Dudley may be a little shy around new people at first, it doesn't take long for his curiosity to shine through. Patient introductions and gradual exposure to new individuals will help Dudley build confidence and feel at ease in their presence. One thing that Dudley absolutely adores is food! He's a true foodie and will happily indulge in tasty treats during training sessions. This makes him a willing and motivated learner. To keep Dudley entertained and stimulated, provide him with a range of toys to satisfy his playful spirit. Whether it's a squeaky toy, a puzzle toy, or a stuffed animal, Dudley will play with it happily by himself and should be left alone.
Out and about, Dudley will need to stay on lead and wear his muzzle, he wears both comfortably. He can struggle around cyclists and joggers. Dudley has mixed well with a number of dogs here at the centre but can be reactive to some dogs.
If you're searching for an adorable and affectionate companion who needs an experienced owner to guide him, Dudley might be the perfect match for you. With patience, training, and plenty of love, Dudley will blossom into a loyal and cherished member of your family. Get ready to embark on a journey filled with wagging tails and happy adventures with Dudley by your side!

Buying Checklist

Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
