Description

Teddy's ideal home

Teddy could live with a well matched dog and children over the age of 10. He is not used to being left by himself for any length of time, but he is house trained.

Could you be Teddy's perfect match?

Teddy has joined the Dogs Trust family after his own family dynamic became unsuitable. He's a super little chap, not quite a year old and he's taken well to centre life. He was initially a little shy but now loves to go out with his handlers for walks exploring the centre and the park next door. Teddy hadn't met many other dogs in his previous life and is a little unsure of the bigger, bouncier ones. he's been generally comfortable with most dogs but can get a little mouthy when he's excited, but we feel he could live with a steady well matched pal. He would still benefit from some suitable socialisation outside of the house too, with some well mannered friendly dogs. We're happy to rehome with children over the age of 10, but because he does get mouthy when he's excited. Teddy loves to play and likes to encourage you into a game of fetch! He isn't used to spending time alone so will need someone at home with him initially, gradually building up any necessary alone time.

He is looking for a forever family who are active and will take him on lots of fun walks and he will need to be the only pet in the home with any children 14+. Yorkie Buying Checklist

We highly recommend every buyer reads through the below advice when purchasing or rehoming a Yorkshire Terrier.

  • View the animal in the place it was born and raised - check for genuine home environments if buying privately, or the quality of the breeders set-up if applicable.
  • If viewing a puppy under 6 months, by law they MUST be seen with their mum.
  • Make sure the animal's old enough to be rehomed. 8 weeks should be the earliest a puppy can be rehomed.
  • By law, all dogs MUST be microchipped

Avoid Potential Scams

There are a number of red flags to look out for when purchasing a new puppy:

  • Seller demands a deposit without allowing you to see the dog first - never send any money before meeting the animal in person
  • Seller is reluctant to send you additional photos or videos
  • Seller offers to deliver the dog/puppy
  • Seller asks to meet in a mutual location
  • Seller uses fake or stolen photos from the internet. Always carry out a "Google image search".

Although we have a number of automated systems in place to prevent scam and fraudulant adverts, these can never be 100% accurate and its important to use caution when buying online. We do not accept any responsibility for transactions between our users, especially when our safe buying advice is not followed.
